Has anyone heard of or used an application by TechSmith called "Morae"?
It's for usability testing.

Re: usability software
01/06hey ron,
I used morae for usability testing desktop software for my company. It's pretty simnple to use - basically it has keystroke capturing, screen recording, and captures user's face through webcamera. It eliminates buying expensive hardwares such as video mixer, scan converter (such as scando, and video editing software. Last time I checked, price of morae was around $1200, which is not bad. Before morae, we spent over $5000 for various hardwares. It's also great for conducting usability testing offsite - we used morae to conduct usability testing at my company's user conference.
Hope this helps.

Re: usability software
01/06Thanks for the feedback.
I'm trying to start a usability consulting here in south FL.
The software seems like it would be perfect- especially in trying to sell companies who might not want to spend much on testing.
Thanks ji
